What to Expect

Your first session is a gentle introduction. We’ll talk about what brings you here, your history, and your goals. I’ll also explain the therapy options available (EMDR, Brainspotting, ACT, DBT) so we can co-create a plan that feels safe and effective for you.

Sessions are 53 minutes and take place by secure telehealth video. Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and safety. As progress is made, we may move to biweekly or monthly sessions. For trauma-focused work like EMDR or Brainspotting, we always prepare first so your nervous system feels steady before diving deeper.

Healing moves at your pace, but I’ll also invite small, intentional stretches so you don’t stay stuck in old patterns. Our work is collaborative—we’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy feels supportive and aligned with your goals. I focus on integration and action, helping you take the insights from our sessions into real life.

Yes. You’ll have a calm, confidential space where you can be fully yourself. Sessions are trauma-informed and culturally responsive, with a focus on safety, clarity, and direction. If something feels overwhelming, we’ll slow down and re-center together.

I often provide experiential homework between sessions—small practices, journaling, or rituals designed to help you take committed action toward the life you want. These assignments are flexible and always tailored to your capacity, but they’re a powerful way to turn insight into lasting change.
